1 適用範囲
この規格は，機械周囲の長方形境界上及び半径12 mの視界測定円（VTC）上での運転員の視界を測定及び評価する静的測定方法について規定する。
この規格は，着座運転席をもち，施工現場での作業及び公道走行を意図した，JIS A 8308で規定する土工機械に適用する。
この規格は，表1に記載した機種ごとに，JIS A 8320に従って最大運転質量までの機械の視界性能基準を規定する。大形機械，派生土工機械及びほかの形式の土工機械を含め，表1に記載されていない機械に対しては，10.4に規定するリスクアセスメント手順と併せて視界測定方法を適用できる。
注記 この規格の対応国際規格及びその対応の程度を表す記号を，次に示す。 ISO 5006:2017，Earth-moving machinery−Operator’s field of view−Test method and performance criteria（IDT） なお，対応の程度を表す記号“IDT”は，ISO/IEC Guide 21-1に基づき，“一致している”ことを示す。
