1 適用範囲
この規格は，一般的な織物生地（以下，織物という。）及び連続された編目で構成された布で，たて編及びよこ編生地（以下，編物という。）の一般的な特性を評価するための試験方法について規定する。ただし，堅ろう度試験及び物性試験において独立した日本工業規格の試験方法がある場合並びに敷物，ウレタン衣料生地，フロック加工生地及び衣料用接着布については，別に定める試験方法による。
注記1 よこ編には，横編と丸編とを含む。 注記2 この規格の対応国際規格及びその対応の程度を表す記号を，次に示す。
