1. 適用範囲
この規格は，JIS A 8308に定義する土工機械（以下，機械という。）の取扱説明書の内容を規定し，様式の指針を与える。この規格は，土工機械の製造業者が，取扱説明書の文案を作り，表記するときの助けとなることを，意図している。
備考 この規格の対応国際規格を，次に示す。 なお，対応の程度を表す記号は，ISO/IEC Guide 21に基づき，IDT（一致している），MOD（修正している），NEQ（同等でない）とする。

3. 定義 この規格で用いる主な用語の定義は，JIS A 8308によるほか，次による。
