1. 適用範囲
この規格は，照明，騒音及び機械的振動の影響，電磁界及び静電気，熱的環境，空間の構成並びに作業場の配置を考慮し，作業環境及びワークステーションの人間工学的設計の基本原則に関する指針について規定する。
この規格は，オフィス作業に表示装置（以下，VDTという。）を使用する作業システムにおける作業環境及びワークステーションに適用する。ただし，この規格は，作業環境に関係する装置・機器の技術的特性を規定しない。
