1. 適用範囲
この規格は，船用角窓の種類（系列，級別，形式及び呼び寸法），互換性及び構造上必要な寸法，材料，試験，表示及び製品の呼び方について規定する。
備考1. この原国際規格は，1974年海上人命安全条約 (SOLAS 1974) 及びその1981年改正版並びに1966年満載喫水線条約の諸規則を船舶に適用している船用の窓及びガラスの製造業者，造船所並びに管轄官庁の経験に基づいて作成されている。

次に掲げる規格は，この規格に引用されることによって，この規格の規定の一部を構成する。これらの引用規格は，その最新版を適用する。

3. 定義 この規格の定義は，ISO 6345による。 4. 種類 角窓の種類は，系列，級別，形式及び呼び寸法によって，それぞれ4.1〜4.4に従って分類しなければならない。
備考2. 標準化された角窓の概観については，4.5及び表3に示す。
4.1 系列 4.1.1 通常系列 (N) 通常系列の角窓には，ISO 3254の要件を満足する強化安全ガラスを取り付けなければならない。
4.1.2 耐火系列 (P) 耐火系列の角窓は，“A”(1)又は“B”級の仕切りに取り付けISO 5797-1の要件を満足するガラスを装備しなければならない。 ガラス枠及び窓枠の構造及び取付方法を改正する場合並びに試験及び表示を追加する場合には，ISO 5797-1によらなければならない。
4.1.3 熱線入り系列 (H) 熱線入り系列の角窓は，ISO 3434の規定による電熱ガラスを取り付けなければならない。 上記以外の分類方法として，材料による分類がある（6.1及び表13参照）。 備考3. ガラス枠又は窓枠の構造が変わることに注意しなければならない（5.1.2参照）。
4.2 級別 船用通常角窓には，次の2種類の級別を取ることができる。 − E級：重構造角窓 − F級：軽構造角窓
