1 適用範囲
この規格は，放射線サーベイを目的として，X線，γ線及びβ線の周辺線量当量（率）H●*(10)，H*(10)及び／又は方向性線量当量（率）H●'(0.07)，H'(0.07)を測定する携帯形の線量（率）計及び警報付き線量（率）計（以下，サーベイメータという。）について規定する。 ただし，次に示す特別な性能については，規定しない。
a) 放射線診断及び放射線治療に用いる放射線場の線量（率）測定に関わる特別な性能。
b) パルス放射線場の線量（率）測定に関わる特別な性能。
c) 事故時又は緊急時の線量当量（率）測定に関わる特別な性能。 注記 この規格の対応国際規格及びその対応の程度を表す記号を，次に示す。 IEC 60846-1:2009，Radiation protection instrumentation−Ambient and/or directional dose equivalent (rate) meters and/or monitors for beta, X and gamma radiation−Part 1: Portable workplace and environmental meters and monitors（MOD） なお，対応の程度を表す記号“MOD”は，ISO/IEC Guide 21-1に基づき，“修正している”ことを示す。
