1.Scope
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies carbon tetrachloride used forindustrial chemicals.
2.uality
The quality of carbon tetrachloride when it is tested in accordance with thespecifications of 3. shall conform to the requirement specified in Table 1.
3.Testing Method
3.1Generals The generals common to tests shall conform to the specifica-tions of JIS K 0050.
3.2 Sampling Method The sampling shall be carried out from one lot thatis considerod to be the same quality，by using the methods specified as followsaccording to the kind of container for products.
The determination of a lot , or the time and the location of sampling shalldepend on the agreement between the parties concerned.
(1)In the Case of Large-sized Container (Tank，Tank Car，Tank Lorry,Tanker , and others)
(1.1)Summary Sampling shall be carried out from the decided points inside of the container at a definite rate by means of the large-sizedsampler for liquid，and，after sufficient mixing with transferringina suitable sample container，not less than 1 i shall be preparedfor testing
(1.2)Apparatus
Large-sized Sampler for LiquidAs shown in Fig. 1,this samplershaii be made by metal and be equipped with a cover that can belet open after being submerged at a suitable depth to be filled withsample liquid. After being filled with sample,the sampler shallbe picked up as it is.

(1.3)Operation
(1.3.1) Location of SamplingIn the case of a vertical cylindrical-type tank which has uniform horizontal sectional area, the same quantity shall be sampled at each of 5/6，1/2，and 1/6 of theheight of liquid; and in the case of horizontai cylindrical-typetank，similarly sampling shall be carried out in accordance withTable 2 by equal amount respectively .
